Building for the Future Committee
In order to look into the needs of our parish in the years to come, this committee’s role is to look at our parish buildings and to determine what renovations need to be considered so that we will have adequate office and meeting space in the future as needs demand. They also will consider liturgical renovations in our church building. In addition, this committee will be involved in developing a strategy for educating the parish at large regarding such renovations and in organizing a capital campaign to raise funds for these renovations.

Carnival Committee
Each year, one of our major community buildings and fundraising events as a parish is our annual carnival which takes place during the first full week in the month of June. The carnival offers an opportunity for young and old, new parishioners and “veterans” to participate in the parish, to have a great deal of fun and to get to know other members of the St. Mary’s family. It has been dubbed the “Social Event of the Year.”

Welcoming Committee
Although not yet in place, we are hoping to re-establish in the near future a committee whose ministry will be to visit the homes of new parishioners and welcome them to St. Mary’s. These volunteers would be able to let new families know who we are as a parish and inform them of all that we seek to be and do as a Roman Catholic faith community. We would need men and women who would be willing to reach out and visit new families at St. Mary’s.
